Inside the LangChain Interrupt Conference at The Midway
- San Francisco Event Space News | 6/17/2025
On May 13–14, 2025, The Midway San Francisco hosted one of the most exciting and forward-thinking tech gatherings of the year: the LangChain Interrupt Conference. This multi-day, single-track event brought together 800 builders, developers, and innovators shaping the future of AI and large language model (LLM) development. And it did so across every square foot of our versatile venue.

A Full-Venue Tech Takeover
LangChain’s team took full advantage of The Midway’s 40,000+ square feet of indoor and outdoor event space—transforming it into a dynamic environment for talks, demos, networking, and real-time collaboration. The single-track format allowed for unified energy, focus, and momentum as attendees moved through a carefully designed experience. From the kickoff keynotes to developer lounges and live build sessions, the space was designed to reflect the energy and ambition of the LLM ecosystem.
Here’s how the event activated The Midway’s unique spaces:
- Ride – Served as the main stage for all keynotes and panels. Powered by On Point Audio Visual (with The Midway’s lighting infrastructure), this room delivered a high-impact presentation experience with concert-level AV and modular staging.
- CarreSel – This 360° projection-mapped space became a fully immersive exhibition and product demo arena, where LangChain showcased its latest use cases and partners engaged attendees with real-time tools, visual storytelling, and hands-on learning.
- The Gallery – The Gallery served as a striking visual portal into the rest of the venue. LangChain’s team transformed this space into a moody, high-design threshold using dramatic lighting, custom carpeting, and suspended décor. It was a statement piece—setting the tone for what lay beyond.
- Gods & Monsters – Functioned as a breakout and speaker lounge space, with a comfortable, stylish atmosphere ideal for small-group meetups, informal conversations, and networking.
- The Patio – Served as the opening registration area and a key hospitality zone throughout the conference. Food was served here by The Midway’s culinary team, and closing festivities included a live DJ and outdoor social atmosphere.
- The Observatory – Branded as LangChain’s Aviary Lounge (named after one of their AI app dev tools), this rooftop space featured food, drinks, and a beautiful lounge setting where conference goers could relax, socialize, and refuel between sessions.
Designed for Builders, Built to Inspire
Interrupt wasn’t just a developer conference—it was a community-building moment. Over two days, LangChain and its partners created an environment that felt part hackathon, part showcase, and fully collaborative. While the single-track agenda kept the full group aligned, the venue’s spatial design allowed for varied energy across rooms—from high-focus presentations in Ride to spontaneous demos and coffee conversations upstairs and outside.
The Midway supported this flow with plug-and-play AV, modular room setups, and in-house production support—ensuring that creative teams could stay focused on what mattered.
Culinary & Vendor Partners That Elevated the Experience
Food, beverage, and décor weren’t afterthoughts—they were integral to the experience. LangChain worked with a talented slate of vendors who helped bring their vision to life, including:
- Blueprint Studios – Event design and fabrication
- Gregory Events – Event production
- On Point Audio Visual – AV provider for the main room
- Fern – Show services and event infrastructure
- Trad Bone Broth – Wellness beverage partner
- Hedge Coffee – Artisanal coffee bar
- Fifth House Catering – Catering and hospitality services
