On October 24, 2024, the Next.js Conf took place at The Midway in San Francisco, bringing together over 1,000 developers and enthusiasts, with tens of thousands more participating online. The conference highlighted significant advancements in the Next.js framework, emphasizing three core principles:

• Make it work: Introduction of a refined App Router model for more predictable data fetching and rendering.
• Make it right: Announcement of Turbopack’s stability for development, offering up to 90% faster code updates.
• Make it fast: Implementation of streamlined APIs to simplify caching and enhance performance.

Key sessions included Guillermo Rauch’s opening keynote on the growth and future of Next.js, an exploration of React Server Components by Aurora Scharff, and Wyatt Johnson’s deep dive into optimizing the Largest Contentful Paint through Partial Prerendering. The day also featured an AMA with the Next.js team, workshops, and networking opportunities.

The event was expertly produced by Set Creative. AV was managed by 4Wall, while Alpha Graphics handled the branding. The Midway’s in-house catering, 5th House Catering, provided food and beverages, complemented by additional vendors Hedge Coffee and Kiss My Boba. Furniture for the event was sourced from Bright Event Rentals, Abby Party Rentals, Taylor Creative, and Found Rentals.
