Three recent events at The Midway — Cerebras SUPERNOVA, Miro Canvas 26 and Equinix Horizon —focused on a different part of how AI is being built and used, giving us a useful snapshot of where the industry and AI event planning is heading.

From Possibility to Implementation
Cerebras used SUPERNOVA 2026 to introduce CS-4, its next-generation AI system, with much of the conversation centered on inference speed, performance and the computing demands behind increasingly capable models. As those models advance, speed, efficiency and computing capacity increasingly determine what can be built and deployed.
SUPERNOVA also reflects how product launches are becoming more central to technology conferences. Major announcements share the program with live demonstrations, deeper technical sessions and opportunities for customers and developers to see the technology in action. The conference becomes a place to introduce the product, prove what it can do and put the people building it in the same room as the people who will use it.
AI Moves Into the Workplace
Miro Canvas 26 approached AI from another direction, focusing on how people, AI agents, tools and organizational knowledge increasingly work together. Its announcements centered on AI becoming part of everyday work, from accessing company knowledge and collaborating with teams to moving ideas from discussion into execution.
Miro is a company built around digital collaboration, yet Canvas still puts considerable emphasis on bringing customers, partners and teams together in person. The mainstage is only one part of that experience, alongside product demonstrations, smaller discussions and the conversations that happen throughout the day. For a company focused on how people work together, those interactions are as relevant as the presentations themselves.
AI Reaches the Infrastructure Layer
Equinix Horizon looked at AI from the infrastructure side. The company’s first Horizon customer and partner event focused on what it takes to run AI at enterprise scale, with announcements including Fabric One and new capabilities for distributed AI and inference.
As more companies put AI into production, infrastructure is becoming a larger part of the conversation. Compute, data, networks and deployment all affect how AI performs in the real world, bringing infrastructure teams into closer conversation with the executives, customers and partners shaping how these systems are deployed.
Three Events, One Industry in Transition
Cerebras, Miro and Equinix are approaching AI from very different directions. Cerebras is focused on speed and performance, Miro on how AI fits into everyday work, and Equinix on the infrastructure needed to run it at scale. Their events bring together an equally varied mix of developers, technical teams, executives, customers and partners, reflecting how many parts of an organization are now involved in putting AI to work.
The conferences are changing along with the technology. Mainstage programming now shares the day with live demos, product experiences, technical discussions and smaller conversations, giving attendees more opportunities to see the technology in use and spend time with the people building it. In San Francisco, where much of the current AI industry is taking shape, Cerebras, Miro and Equinix offer three different views of the same shift: AI is moving into products, workplaces and infrastructure, and the events around it are following.
