San Francisco has always found reasons to gather around major events. This summer, FIFA brought another one to the Bay Area.
As part of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Breakaway Tour, Bank of America brought the USA vs. Bosnia and Herzegovina watch party to The Midway, transforming the campus into an afternoon of match viewing, soccer activations, food and beverage experiences, and plenty of FIFA energy leading into kickoff.
Ride and Gods & Monsters served as the primary viewing spaces, while supporters moved throughout the property before, during, and after the match. The event made use of nearly every part of the campus, from outdoor activations on the patio to newly added lounge environments throughout Ride’s main floor and mezzanine.
Guests experienced the event in different ways throughout the afternoon. Some spent most of their time watching the match from Ride, while others moved between activations, sponsor experiences, food stations, and outdoor gathering areas before settling in for kickoff.

- Beers from both participating countries, including a rare Bosnian import sourced specifically for the event
Food and beverage played an important role throughout the day. Alongside game-day favorites, The Midway’s culinary team created substantial food spreads across the campus, with premium offerings in Ride and The Midway Cafe. The Midway Event team sourced beers from both participating countries, including a Bosnian import that was difficult to find and quickly became a popular choice among guests.
Over the years, The Midway has hosted technology conferences, product launches, concerts, fundraisers, private celebrations, and large-scale brand experiences. The Breakaway Tour brought a different audience through the doors and gave Bank of America room to combine live viewing, entertainment, hospitality, merchandise, memorabilia, and interactive programming within a single event.
