South Korean President Lee Jae Myung joined leaders from NVIDIA, OpenAI, Anthropic, Broadcom, Samsung Electronics, SK Group, Hyundai Motor Group, NAVER, and Stanford University for a high-level AI summit at The Midway in San Francisco.
The Midway recently hosted the Korea AI Summit, bringing together an extraordinary group of government, technology, and industry leaders for a conversation about artificial intelligence, computing infrastructure, semiconductors, and the global partnerships shaping the next phase of AI.
Led by South Korean President Lee Jae Myung during his visit to the United States, the gathering reflected both South Korea’s growing ambitions in artificial intelligence and San Francisco’s continued importance as a meeting point for the global technology community.
Global AI Leadership Comes Together in San Francisco
Moderated by Stanford University’s Soh Kim, the discussion brought President Lee together with NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Anthropic co-founder and CEO Dario Amodei, and Broadcom President and CEO Hock Tan.
They were joined by leaders from some of South Korea’s most influential companies, including Samsung Electronics Executive Chairman Jay Y. Lee, SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chair Euisun Chung, and NAVER founder Hae-jin Lee.
The conversation extended across the AI technology stack, from advanced semiconductors and computing infrastructure to foundational models, industrial applications, education, and the talent required to support continued growth.

A Gathering Designed Around Conversation
